THE BASICS OF HAZARDOUS GOODS
The FAA defines "Dangerous Goods" as follows: "A dangerous good (also known as hazardous material or hazmat) is any substance or material that is capable of posing an unreasonable risk to health, safety, and property when transported in commerce. Identifying dangerous goods is the first step to reduce the risks posed by the product with proper packaging, communication, handling, and stowage."
